Young Adult Historical

The Luxe a historical novel about love, betrayal and doing what is right for the family.

Although a historical novel reads as a contemporary novel that teens will latch onto.

I can't wait to read the next in the series.

Other people's lives

Australian authors Kathy Wilson and Kris Webb provied a novel that is an insight into the lives of five every different people with different life experiences and different places in their lives.

Having never read a novel that is quiet like this I found it intriguing. I particularily was fascinated by how two people in two different countries can write a novel together and make it a page turner.

A departure from my normal reading genre of romance I would highly recommend this book. I am also looking for other novels these two authors have written.

Paranormal and Historical

This week I have had a good week of reading yet again. I have read the new Jayne Ann Krentz "Sizzle and Burn" that would best be described as a Paranormal romance in the loosest term.
I have continued my reading of Philippa Gregory with "The other Boleyn Girl". The next book on my reading for next week is "The Boleyn inheritance" I have figured I find a good author and a series of books I am enjoying why change authors till I am finished.
I do have a few truly romance books to read that I am itching to get to but they will have to wait until I am through with the Philippa Gregory series. I feel I will need something light and not too substantial soon. Diana Palmer here I come!

What I am reading this week

I branching out of my usual reading style and trying an historical novel. With the movie "The Other Boleyn Girl" coming out soon I thought I might like to try the novel first as they are always better than the movie. But as usual the The Other Boleyn Girl is on reserve and I had to try another one of Phillipa Gregory's novels. Surprisingly to me I am thoroughly enjoying it and can't seem to put this book down. My eyes that have not had enough sleep this week are not thanking me but when the book is this good I think they will forgive me.
